We would like to share with you some of our successes with finding feral and stray cats a "forever home." Here are a few of those pictures and stories. We will soon have many more Happy Tails stories to add!
|This week several kittens were adopted
with donations to A Cat's Friend.
The kittens were all adopted to live together!
|Jett surrendered to us when his Mom, an Army nurse, was deployed unexpectedly to Afghanistan. He is adopted into a home with a doggie companion.|
|Mochi and Neko, were rescued from horrid conditions. They were adopted by their new Mom, Susan, and her son - who the kittens have wrapped around their little paws.
These now healthy felines are as devoted to each other as they are to their human parents. They spend hours chasing toys and each other, but are equally happy having their bellies rubbed or purring in someone's arms.
If they were any sweeter or cuter, Mochi and Neko's parents would get absolutely nothing done around the house.
|Taz n Tucker (both cats in this row) were rescued
in a rural location at 7 weeks of age.
|They were adopted together by a loving couple in Washington, DC.|
|Trig n Trace (both cats in this row) were rescued
together at 8 weeks of age.
|They were adopted into a home with other kitties to keep them company!|
|Cassie was rescued when she climbed into a student's car. Her tail had compound fractures and infection. Cassie required emergency surgery to amputate it. She is now a "bobtail" and the princess of her new home with a bobtailed rescued dog.||Jake was rescued with 5 siblings at 5 weeks. He socalized quickly and was adopted by a Manassas family with another cat rescued by us.|
|Misto was rescued with 5 siblings at 5 weeks of age. He quickly became a lovebug and was adopted by a loving Dale City family with 2 kitty companions.||Etan was rescued in the woods with littermate, Elle. Sadly, 2 other littermates and his mom had died. Etan now lives in DC with a kitty companion.|

from the Washington Post feral colony
as a two month old kitten. He was adopted
by a young DC couple as a companion for their
older, rescued cat.
|Haley was found wondering the streets looking for food. She was very thin and withdrawn, but sweet. Haley loves people and follows her adopted family around like a dog, very thankful to be safe and loved.|

were rescued at seven weeks of age in Woodbridge. They remained in foster care until their retests showed up negative.

|Daisy was rescued from the back of a Petsmart.
Now, she's a part of a loving family who are so happy
to have her.. she's a sweet and very affectionate pet.
